Luxury Hotels - Langham's & Sofitel's Preferred Agency Programs

Although they do not get mentioned as frequently as other hotel brands around here, some Langham and Sofitel properties make their way into conversation. Thus, I thought I'd share that both chains now have preferred agency programs.

Similar to other programs (e.g., Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Ritz-Carlton STARS), participation in Sofitel's and Langham's programs is limited to agencies that have a preferred relationship with the chain. (I assume that this 'preferred relationship' is based on sales volume, but I suppose that there may be other factors.)

Sofitel STEP (http://www.sofitel.com/gb/travel-agency/recognition-program.shtml)

I've always been a fan of FHR's guaranteed 4:00pm checkout, and I really like Langham's 6-hour add-on option.

I agree, that 6 hour add-on is cool -- if you don't have to specify it way in advance (like at time of booking). Sometimes you don't know way in advance. This is particularly true for late checkout.

Are Virtuoso agents connected to this program?

I stay sometimes at Sofitel properties and would be interested in this service.

Great question -- I am not sure, but I'd hope that the hotels would be flexible when it comes to managing this benefit. I haven't had a chance to experiment yet.

I have not been successful at finding a list of agencies that are members of these types of programs. I know at least one Virtuoso agency that is a member of many of these programs (FS, Ritz, Sofitel, Langham, etc.), and I'm sure that there are others. I imagine that there are some Signature agencies in the mix, too.
