There is still one other airline offering a fare to the US...so far I've only been able to price it one way. This is a Y fare with a fare basis of about $18-23 US.
Available to tea party and big apple, flying with one(world) of the middle eastern monarchies. Was able to price it at EX-uk. :D

I'm poised to book this one, but am running into a little trouble.
I need a return flight from India/Pakistan. DEL-RGN one-way is 350, and 550 for LHE-RGN! Can any give me guidance on a reasonable way to book a rewards flight for this, route ... is that possible?

Why not fly IndiGo to BKK (under £200 return) and then get an AirAsia flight from BKK to RGN?

Doesn't cost hardly anything extra to fly to the big apple via ORD, and since baggage inspection will occur there, it poses no problem regarding checked luggage. It prices nearly equivalently with a change of plane in LHR, but one would probably have to forego checked luggage to disembark there.;)

Not necessary to force anything in SE Asia. Just do a multistop following MKR-MR's advise. Too bad a stopover isn't possible, as Petra is really worth a visit.

I'm having no problem finding RT itineraries ex-RGN, $524.69 to JFK on Travelocity. Use multii-city in both directions, and take care that the TATL airline doesn't offer daily service from JFK (though they do offer partner airline connecting service via LHR).
[The Y fare supposedly permits unlimited stopovers, but I haven't been successful in finding these autopricing (though I admittedly haven't looked very hard).]

Now this is fun! Cheapest I've managed so far has been RGN - JFK for £169.50 one way. Travel can be made on lots of airlines across the alliances, and even on an unaligned five star airline! At least one of the long haul sectors can be done on a Star carrier although I've not checked the booking class of this one to see if it earns 100% on US (I suspect it would though).
Top tip - search as a multi city using unexpected airports in the Middle East to add extra sectors and bring the cost down further.
Question is... if I were to book this, what are the odds of it being cancelled?

We cannot know that. Neither can you. However, numerous cases above have demonstrated that, if ticketed, the DoT will enforce the deal.

Do you still see that happening? I've been looking on ITA and Travelocity, but I haven't been able to find a cheap enough base fare—they're all looking normal. Any recommended stopovers/dates to force the fare?
EDIT: I meant in regards with the star carrier, I'm seeing the fare normally otherwise.

JNB has (d?) limited availablity on ET, some segments in business doubled the price.
for those considering JED, same day turns w/ 4.5h on the ground are possible during some months, friday departures. It would effectively be two days/nights in KUL with an overnight out and back on a newish SV 777 in the middle. Still risky so research before purchasing... but probably the least risky unless you plan to buy onward travel from JED and thereby (maybe) be eligible for a transit visa. Travelnation is the only ITA i've found that will price these out without usurious fees.

Indeed they did
After amazing amounts of struggle and pain checking esoteric agencies, points of sale, etc, it was right there under our noses. I'm $2 cheaper because the TG segment I wanted was briefly unavailable in S class so I gave up and booked PG instead. Of course, this morning TG re-released S. Oh well.
This will lock in my AA EXP status for the year as well as potentially saving me from the headache of flying Air India with uncertain schedule. Am I the first FTer ever to cancel my long haul business class in favour of long haul economy? ;)
Hint for those still having trouble: XP.usa allows a larger number of segments on a multi-destination ticket than some of their sister sites do (uk and de being the problematic ones for this fare). It does sometimes choke, but if you repeat the search it will come up. You can spoon feed it both connecting points, which did the trick for me.

Thanks very much for highlighting this one, MKE-MR! I am also using this to eliminate the potential need for a last-minute run to keep AA EXP. I needed to position to RGN anyway for the biz-class jumbo, so I just added this onto the beginning of one of those (with a few days in the country). So this is very convenient for me - long flight in Y, but I'll survive. Thanks!

Finally, I pulled one for Jan RGN-JFK RT. If I book another RT, say departing on the same day that I am finishing my first RT, will I be able to make to my outgoing flight in 1 hr? Both in and out flights are on TG. Do I need to clear immigration to get into my outbound flight? I read from the the posting of JanetDoe that VOA is now possible for those who are staying for less than 24hr. In my case, I am not sure if I will be required to get one.

I think the real issue is checking in for the origination of the second round trip. The other thread mentioned that even folks doing online check-in could not print a boarding pass. So you would need to somehow get a new boarding pass at RGN. I don't remember reading about anyone being able to get their boarding pass in BKK earlier in the day. There are cutoff times for check-in, and I don't know that the OLCI would qualify since you would not have your boarding documents.
And this isn't a mid-itinerary connection, where a carrier might accommodate a misconnect - this is the origination of travel. I would not count on the "flat-tire rule" to be allowed in Myanmar.
I would never in a million years start one of these tickets by arriving into RGN an hour earlier, even if it is on the same aircraft.

I also read that even the process of finishing the visa on arrival paperwork could take longer than 20-30 minutes. With paperwork plus clearing immigration (they are separate desks so you will be in a long line by the time you get your VOA), this is a bad idea. Just give yourself an extra day or some extra time--PG also works on the fare, and you're only giving up 390 miles...but ensuring a bit more piece of mind.

This fare is awesome for folks looking for AA status, because Y fares earn 1.5 points per mile towards status. In other words, on this 20,000 mile itinerary, you'll get 30,000 points towards status, assuming you route entirely on RJ. (The leg to BKK notwithstanding). For about $1800, it's possible to get AA's highest status.
I would note that LOTS of routing options are available between RGN and AMM. After AMM, I've only been able to find a few routing options that work. CDG, LHR, ORD. I'm sure others can do better.
This fare is great. I can't imagine it will last long, now that it has it's own thread. Go for it while you can!

Is ET cattle class any worse than UA/DL ?
Actually ET has very old beatenup planes with great leather seats, but when it's filled upto the brim with african businessmen my size (6,4tall&wide) it feels small, also you've got 2filthy toilets for 3++pax..FAs routinely forget to offer drinks to some passengers, food in ADD & ex ADD  .......

Just to confirm, am I the only one who cannot view a reservation using the provided pnr on MH? When I put it in, it is unable to load, and needs to be tried later. Anyone know why?
I saw your post in the other forum.
Just to clarify, what you have is the Airline Vendor Locator, not the PNR.
MH's VL is 5 digits, most airlines have 6 digits (so impossible to distinguish from the PNR).
The PNR (Passenger Name Record) is the 6 alphanumeric 'unique locator' that is used in the GDS your flights are booked in and will bring up all your flights on the ticket with all airlines. You will use this in checkmytrip, viewtrip or whatever the GDS being used where you booked the flights.
The 'Vendor Locator' is unique to the airline. This is what you are using and only MH can bring up details using this. This is because if you book your ticket on say Cheaptickets.com who use Sabre, and Malaysia Airlines use Galileo, MH can bring up your Cheaptickets MH flights using the MH VL.
If your ticket has 5 different airlines on (even if it's one ticket ticketed on 1 airline) within that there will be 5 different Vendor Locators, 1 for each airline. Hope that's not too confusing. There will be a PNR as well, but if you booked direct with MH, they will only give you the VL!

Ah, I see! Thank you for clarifying that. This is not something I've seen before when doing multi-city bookings, but its great to know an as I mentioned, really reassuring to know that my flight doesn't have any problems. Thanks for explaining!

The fare rules state unlimited stopovers, but when I try to add AMM to see Petra, it craps out and gives me fares of $2000+. Has anybody been able to add stopovers? I am using travelocity.com
Thanks
Also, any way to start this in BKK rather than RGN?

Don't count on it... there is a lot of discussion in Bangkok now about moving some of the LCCs over to the old airport... I believe Thai Air Asia has accepted some of the incentives from the Airport Authority to move their flights to Don Mueang. So please do not book a short connection arriving into Suvarnabhumi and departing on Thai Air Asia.

Why wouldn't it? Each leg should post independently and different airlines would be a no brainer.

Sounds like Don Mueang will become the LCC hub for Bangkok. Thai Air Asia will be the first to move to Don Mueang beginning October 1, 2012 with plans for 13 other LCC airlines to potentially move there in the coming months.
http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/299677/don-mueang-to-be-city-budget-air-hub
There will be shuttle buses and other public transport for passengers transferring from Suvarnabhumi to Don Mueang (and vice versa). But given Don Mueang is about 40 km from Suvarnabhumi, it could take 1-2 hours depending on traffic.

Simple summary:
Flying Air Asia: no miles
Flying Bangkok Air: no miles
Flying Thai: miles possible to Star Alliance. Not possible to oneworld.
It's less than 400 miles anyway.

I think that it would be unlikely for the miles from your earlier flights to not credit to your OneWorld carrier of choice given the different airlines/systems involved. There is always a chance that the ticketing airline will get upset that you did not fly all segments, but it's improbable. The caveats to my statement would be if you are a frequent abuser of this practice or if your BKK-RGN flight is a PG-OneWorld codeshare. But PG doesn't have any codeshares on this route with OneWorld carriers as far as I know (only with EY - http://info.flightmapper.net/route/YY_BKK_RGN).
In the end though YMMV.

Doesn't appear to exist in ITA, but it is loaded in some systems such as Expertflyer which I'm using right now. Other FT'ers have tried to book it, but I haven't heard of anyone with success.
The fare rules in Expertflyer state "NOTE - THE FOLLOWING TEXT IS INFORMATIONAL AND NOT VALIDATED FOR AUTOPRICING."
So I'm just guessing they are dummy fares. Others more knowledgeable about this can correct me if I'm wrong.
It's too bad too because the fare basis to BDA via the Pacific is $16 RT and to YVR is $13.

Well, a note about autopricing in the text rule has nothing to do with the fact whether or not the fare itself is able to autoprice (is can be seen in fare details/ routing rules in Sabre/ Expertflyer).
Such a text means that there are some elements which have to be checked manually (don't know if in reality the airlines can enforce this given the fare is autopriceable).
The problem with YVR etc fares is the flights restriction - DL flights only and there is no one from RGN (although some gurus/ moderators were trying to argue this was not the reason).

I always wondered: the YVR fare says IF THE FARE COMPONENT INCLUDES TRAVEL FROM/TO JKT/KUL
THEN THAT TRAVEL MUST BE ON
ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING
ANY DL FLIGHT
ANY MI FLIGHT
ANY MH FLIGHT.so it would make sense we could use RGN-KUL on MH, wouldn't it?

Ok thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure what that meant or the last line of the fare - "NOT A CONSTRUCTED FARE". I just guessed that it was an instructional dummy fare since no one from FT managed to find a way to book it. Thanks.

In case anybody's interested, I'm in AMM lounge at the moment. Looks like I might be the first to fly this, or at least the first to report.
No troubles whatsoever checking in at RGN with Bangkok Air. At BKK, some drama as the agent said that "somebody had done something" to my ticket, but I never found out what--and eventually the boarding passes came out.
RJ economy product is fine. Seat pitch about 33", legroom comfortable enough but not that generous Seats on the 330 were new and quite hard. AVOD is new and functional on both 330 and 340 aircraft--selection is about 20 movies in English, mix of new and old. Nothing that great--bring your own entertainment.
Anyway, I'd call it a good value product for the price :D Just in case anybody wanted an on the ground report as to whether to expect hassles, sample size of one says it's OK.

Shower in BKK. No lounge in RGN (at least for the PG variant). If you're on TG, I'm still pretty sure no showers in RGN :D
TG lounge is used by RJ, so if you have oneworld status that's where you'll be. As you walk to E pier, there are dueling lounges on the left and right. I prefer left as it's larger--and the showers are near the toilets, 180 left after you go in past the desk. Amman the sign clearly did charge for showers, and we decided it wasn't necessary to even try to ask. No reports that I've seen have ever indicated somebody successfully talking their way into the shower for free.
There was a long line for transit in AMM but it seemed to be all from our flight, nothing else landing at that hour. Lounge was very quiet until about 1 hr before boarding, then was suddenly heaving. Our flight to JFK was delayed 1 hr by "congestion at checkin" and indeed what I thought was a half full flight became 100% by an hour later as people kept filtering in. I guess the new airport can't open soon enough.
Not to go too far into trip report territory, but the second flight was somewhat less pleasant than the first. Maybe combination of weekend and summer, but we were absolutely surrounded by kids of all ages, shapes, and sizes--but a uniform standard of (mis)behaviour. It was getting old by hour 11...
Food, however, was a pleasant surprise (didn't eat on the leg from BKK). And for some reason, on the ship we were on (AIA), the HK seats in the second economy section have HUGE legroom--like 35-36". They were very obviously misaligned with the other rows. So if you like legroom, I'd go for that.
And a real surprise--at the hour we came in (1 hour late), customs and immigration at JFK was EMPTY! ^ We were on the AirTrain within 20-30 minutes of landing.

All very helpful. Did you manage to ever work out their bulk head and exit row policy? Or snag one of these seats?

Just got email from Expedia. Royal Jordanian has cancelled two other ticketed reservations I had. They had canceled a previous reservation for which I have a pending DOT complaint. Has this happened to anyone else? Also does anyone have access to the fare rules for these Y tickets with Royal Jordanian from RGN? TIA!
really, I have flight on the same routing booked on Ex-UK at the end of this month, so far, no email or any issues at all.
SOmebody, the OP, already utilized said ticket without hassle.
Can u share the details?
Just checked with TG and RJ website, my etickets numbers are intact, status all confirmed.

How about sharing which flights and when they were for got cancelled? Did you try looking for them ever on rj website?
The flights which were cancelled were cancelled on August 1 and are the following:
1. DEP 1/23/2013 RGN-BKK-AMM-JFK RET 3/20/2013 JFK-LHR-AMM-BKK-RGN
Purchased: 6/22/2012
2. DEP 3/25/2013 RGN-KUL-BKK-AMM-JFK RET 3/27/2013 JFK-ORD-AMM-BKK- RGN Purchased: 6/23/2012
Both of these tickets were booked on Expedia. At first when I called Expedia said it was a schedule change and that the airline had to cancel because they weren't operating those flights that day. When I told them that on RJ's website the flights were operating they said they would get back to me in 48 hours. They said someone from RJ's New York office would call. Never heard anything from him even though I called and tried to reach him. When I called Expedia two days later because I hadn't head anything they said that they were refunding because I had not accepted any of their alternatives they had proposed and also because I had requested a refund! I never requested a refund! RJ cancelled these tickets. It was upsetting that Expedia said that they had spoken to me and I had requested the refund, which is not true! Why would Expedia do that? I've used Expedia for years and it was very disappointing to be let down like that by them.
Also my friend's ticket purchased on Travelocity has also been cancelled. Same dates and flights as mine on 1/23/2013
I have now filed the DOT complaints.

It looks like it is rather online agent's well known 'service' (or the complete absence of it) which is guilty here, rather than RJ.

Similar tale for me. Vayama has said my KE return flight from BKK-SEL-YVR has been cancelled due to a schedule change in BKK. However the flight is still operating on both Vayama and KE websites. Since July 30 I have emailed twice and spoken to Vayama 3 times but still no resolution. Although my flight is not until December I have booked my connecting flights in anticipation of this fare being honoured. Interesting my TG RGN-BKK return is still confirmed.
I will escalate this if my KE cancellation is not reinstated by early next week.

Hmm.. I was threatened by Vayama last month , less than a week before my departure on SV to Jeddah, they wrote me , that airline told them they needed to cancel, or if I don't contact them I'll be denied boarding .. I ignored , very stressful , had to go without luggage fully prepared to get my butt kicked , but airline never blinked an eye :d
Had the cheapest flight of my life :) BKK RGN on airasia costed me more !
So guess they threaten you into "voluntarily" agreeing to ticket cancellation , not a fair play

They don't seem to care about your consent! They'll make it up if they have to. They cancelled me, said I refused other options and requested a refund! Are you kidding me? Why would I do that? Their first email said "RJ has cancelled 5 or your 7 flights". The stories are an attempt to cover up for that! End of story.

weird.. did you checked your bookings with checkmytrip, or some other independent source ?!? I also honestly beleived that I'm screwed, until checking on checkmytrip daily.. weird things were happening. Vayama is plain scary, wouldn't book with them , unless I have no other choice.. Apparently there WAS something not right with my tickets > they or whoever made 2 tickets out of one few days before my trip, I couldn't checkin online..
But in the airports all went well, still can't figure it out.. "black magic" sort of unexplicable stuff :S .. but I was fully prepared to be stranded on any segment of my trip ! Which fortunately didn't happened .. Maybe there some ways for airline to reinstate tickets, that were "messed up by vayama" on short notice ..

I filed several complaints and recently heard back on the first one. They blamed the travel agency. Their argument was even though they issued the ticket, they had nothing to do with cancelling it, claimed they hadn't either charged cc, basically this was only between me and TA. Then they went on to say it was a mistake fare, an obvious error they were aware of but had neglected to correct in time.. Basically blamed me for buying an $18 Y ticket from RGN to JFK!

Does anyone out there know if it is possible to do an immediate turnaround at JED airport? I have to admit I am a bit afraid of getting stopped there and maybe it's a bad idea...
I read through the thread but I'm still ot sure whether an immediate turnaround makes me eligible for a transit visa...
I might just go to the embassy. Maybe they'll have a good day and give me a visa :-)
Has anyone flewn it?
Air Rarotonga
Aug 19, 12, 8:12 am
I doubt that they will let you bord the aircraft in KUL...
Theoretically, you could transit in JED for a flight to MNL, CGK, etc. Then the following rules would apply:
Visa information - Transit - Saudi Arabia (SA)
TWOV (Transit Without Visa):
Visa required, except for Holders of onward tickets for a max. transit time of 18 hours when inbound flight is operated by Saudi Arabian Airlines; or
Visa required, except for Holders of onward tickets for a max.
transit time of 8 hours when inbound flight is not operated by Saudi Arabian Airlines.
- Only one transit stop-over in Saudi Arabia is permitted.
- Except when flying on Saudi Arabian Airlines, where a second transit point is permitted.
If you plan to make a turnaround (i.ex. KUL-JED-KUL), the 'normal' Visa rules apply as this would not count as a transit (without visa):
Transit Without Visa (TWOV):
Passing through an international transit area of the airport in order to board a connecting (or to proceed by the same) flight, without entering the country (i.e. clearing immigration).
Unless stated otherwise, passengers wishing to TWOV must:
- be en-route to a third country (e.g. itinerary TYO-LON-TYO is not considered TWOV);
- prove that they will continue their journey within the
prescribed period (e.g. hold onward tickets);
- have documents required for entry into the country of
destination and for transit through countries en-route;
- remain in the transit area (airside) or on the aircraft.

Thanks a lot,
Maybe SV has another interesting fare to add to the other one :D
That would be awesome.
I guess I'll just print a flight schedule and go to the embassy, explain them how cheap and awesome the flight is. Maybe they think the same way and give me a transit visa. I just live 2 blocks from the embassy so it's not a big deal.
I've read posts about travelers who got transit visas from the UAE to Qatar overland which would not be possible according to visa rules.
I'll post my experiences in a few days...

Seems to be an ET ticket and it requires it to be issued on ET stock... the Ethiopian site doesn't allow you to select RGN as a departure city and can't seem to find the fare on matrix.
So it might be unbookable for now...
The Saudia one has tons of availability (with 22 hour layovers in KUL)... I believe that if you have an ongoing ticket to another country, you should be able to TWOV (within 8 hours). But haven’t heard of anyone who has flown it...

In theory one could buy another ticket with Saudia to Amman (120+ euros) and fly from there with Easyjet to London... Might be a little too extreme for me but still it's good fare to Kuala Lumpur assuming they dont check all the documents at RGN.

There are no routing rules attached so not bookable. Well, at least this is what EF shows.
Some people reported successful bookings of fares without routing rules in EF though previously.

No way I could do an immediate turnaround there. If the final destination on the ticket is Saudi Arabia I would need the required documents to enter the kingdom - which of course I couldn't get.

Too bad the fare is still out there and it's not possible to take advantage of it

Those considering doing transit at JED might want to know that the only way to transfer between terminals, is taking a 8 km taxi ride. At least based on wikipedia.

Got 6H on the AMM-JFK sector for the RJ 342.
I would say that is the best seat along with 6J, its really narrow even for me but the legroom is fantastic. 6J can kinda of use the slide a bits away as a legrest for sure.
The only problem would be the galley light if someone can't sleep past that.

It is a shame, 6-11 is blocked, if you are Emerald and I don't know if you are or not, you can call into RJ and they can assign you the blocked seats.
Exit row can only be assigned day-of if you are paying or if they are so booked they have to place you there.
The middle bulkhead on the 342 isn't bad either and 7A/C can be a bulkhead or exit row depending on config.
AMM-BKK, same deal, front is blocked but can be called in to be unblocked if Emerald except for exit.
MH was good ex-RGN, I got a exit row assign at check-in T-2 3/4 hrs.
Make sure to get an exit row on MH as only exit row and bulkhead aisle have good legroom, those seats were 30" seat pitch for regular.
If I were you, and if you route via KUL, I would at least pay the exit row on the KUL-BKK-AMM since you will be sleeping on that leg, I didn't eat the first meal ex-BKK and that's unheard of for me.
The only caveat emptor I have for you, RJ loves assigning kids near the front of the cabin, so bring your headsets

Thanks for all the info... I just did a round of ex-RGN F/J trip and already feel exhausted... Can't really imagine myself doing the same trip in Y... T.T

Okay thanks exactly what I'm looking for. The ten million dollar question is if you pay to crown, do you get miles etc for original booking class or business class?
I'm doing two return rgn JFK back to back which when I look at it sounds like MR from hell. I'm trying to sleep on bkk time but on the return leg I'm going to have a hard time doing that. Got plenty of sleeping pull which should help!

would be interested to hear any JED experiences with separate onward tickets, or immediate returns. I know at least a few brave souls here have done it.

Not a problem at all even traveled with my unwed GF... No Turn around is possible though as you must go to another country... Transit will be a PITA if you are not transiting on SV as there is a small SV desk when you get off the bus.. I had to wait a few hours for a NAS rep to bring my BPs, and escort to security...

Oh well, 26 hrs of Economy Class flying are done for me.
RGN-KUL-BKK-AMM-JFK-YYZ.
I doubt I would use the return considering it is pretty hard on the body, probably stick to Business/First Class for the future :D
Okay called they refused to allocate any bulk head seats in advance and only said they could do it at airport but put notes in booking. Might call back again to verify. The CS agent did say that they could even give free exit rows on some flights depending on air planes. That sounded way to good to be true.
Kind of makes me wonder what exactly the OW benefit of "Access to preferred or pre-reserved seating*" means exactly.

I'm considering booking a RGN-KUL-JED ticket with a separate ticket out of JED on LH 5 hours later to FRA, would this be doable in Jeddah? and how is the RUH-JED sector treated as? international or domestic since the flight itself stops in RUH and continues to JED.

I went to the embassy in BKK and I was told that a maximum of one domestic sector is allowed if flying with any airline other than SV. If flying with SV two domestic legs are allowed.
If you're in JED for less than 18 hours TWOV is possible but I would always go to an KSA embassy before travelling and confirm all the information since it seems to change quickly.
Immediate turnaround is not possible.

Just flew this last night. Exhausting. So unbelievably long...13 hours after my departure from rgn I had only made it as far as BKK (RGN-KUL-BKK). I had to issue every boarding pass individually, at KUL I couldn't issue the pass to AMM until 3 hours before the flight, and the staff would not issue me anything to let me into the lounge. Once I got into it, though, I was happy. At boarding, they told me it would be hours before the repair was made and to go back to the lounge. 20 minutes later someone came running to tell me I was the last not to have boarded, and made me run to the gate. Then we sat with the doors open for two hours.
It was nice to get all those miles, and to pay very little for them, but by the time I reached NY I was beat. But yea, still no problems with this ticket. All's well that ends well. :)

I'm wondering whether anybody on the Y ticket has made a change to their tickets so far? I recently broke my ankle while hiking in AK and won't be able to make it to RGN before I fully recover. So need to change the trip til a later date. Haven't flown any segment yet, don't know whether RJ will reprice or not...

Sounds like hell. When do you start the return leg? Sounds like i will die doing two return legs back to back. Any other advice you can give? Any more seat info?

I'm not flying a return. Just got the one-way. I will give you the advice to hang onto those boarding passes. RJ didn't post the AMM-JFK leg to my AA account, just like they didnt post an earlier leg to a flight I flew earlier in the summer. Now I've got to dig up the pass and apparently fax it in.
As for seats: flights are pretty much full, and there are going to be kids everywhere, no matter where you sit. Kids everywhere. The front is probably worst, though.

Wow good to know. Interesting no one has been op upped yet. To think if i`d pulled the trigger on round 2 of this mistake fare i could have taken C instead of Y on the same route basically.
Anyway not sure how I`ll survive but time will tell!

Used my first ticket( one way) last month.RGN-BKK-AMM-JFK. Exhausting. Long layovers, bored, noisy cabin. It took me (38 hours ) including connection from SIN to reach JFK, whereas it just took me 18 hours to get back to SIN on a flat bed, champagne and a cozy all C cabin :) .I might cancel my second (roundtrip) ticket departing on December.

I got a flight change notice today on my RJ flights - after a momentary panic, I realized that the times were only changed by an hour. On the RJ website, you can see a notice that the Jordanian government decided (yesterday) to eliminate the local equivalent of daylight savings time for this winter. So, the arrival and departure times in Amman have changed by an hour, but the departure/arrival times at other locations on the ticket have been preserved.

also saw the change on DL's website but it confuses me. my deparure time changed (add one hour) but my arrival time remains the same thus effectively adding an hour to my layover.

Just flew RGN-BKK-AMM-JFK with TG from RGN and RJ from BKK. The flights were fine, bit of a long layover in Amman but hung out in the lounge. The catering in Y is not bad, 3 choices and frequent. Flights 75% full. The points and miles posted to AA 4 days later.
