bmi diamond club - 9W no longer crediting miles to BD?

I recently booked a flight on 9W and had earlier asked my travel agent to record my BD number, so the miles from this flight can be credited to my diamond club account. But my BD number just wouldn't register for the reservation despite many tries by my travel agent, who also called up 9W reservation to add it in, to no avail.

I was told to request this at check in instead.

Yesterday, at the 9W check in counter, the check in agent tried several times to key in my BD number but the system continued to reject the BD number. A 9W supervisor was called and she too was unsuccessful. Ultimately, I had to credit my miles for that flight to CX instead.

Very strange considering the BD website shows that 9W is still a flight mileage partner (yes this is after BD's removal from *A) and likewise 9W website shows BD under a similar reciprocal arrangement. :confused:

Perhaps it would have been better to make a retro claim?

From what I've heard, 9W has always been like that: I've always retro-claimed in the past.

I flew with them about 6 weeks ago and amazingly the miles credited within something like 4 or 5 days.
