Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Discovery magazine not available in economy anymore?

Hi there

I just wanted to check with more regular Cathay fliers about an apparent anomaly in the availability of the airline's inflight magazine Discovery in the different classes. I flew CX transpacific about a week ago in business class where a crisp copy of the magazine was found in its usual pre-packaged form in the seat pocket.

My girlfriend travelling SIN-HKG-SIN over the last weekend didn't find the magazine in her economy class seat pocket on either flight, even if the StudioCX and duty free catalogs were there, pre-packaged.

Is this just a case of CX running out of the magazines into the month, or is the airline only making Discovery available to the premium classes now?

Still got the inflight magazine on my KUL-HKG flight on Y 2 days ago. I won't miss it even if they decide to kill it.

ur gf had it fully prepacked? or someone took the discovery out without damaging the plastic wrap (i do this sometimes when i'm in the mood) AND took it out of the plane and noone replaced it?

afterall they are advert packed...

Thanks for your replies livetutravel and kaka. So it does look like it's still available, even though for some reason she didn't find it. She swears the pack had been fully-sealed and probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't ask her to get a copy of Discovery for me (I had forgotten to take home the copy on my flight). She also says the empty seat next to hers didn't have a copy either. I do realise the magazine's now full of adverts - quality has really deteriorated over the years - but I do like collecting trash. ;)
