What, no picture of Steve Wozniak? Just kidding. Great trip report. I am thinking you got a better deal on your award tickets then I did with my DL business class trip to DEN-MSP-CDG-FCO-JFK-DEN I did 2 years ago (on 235,000 miles or so). All I got was ok business class seats that didn't lie flat.

Nice report!
But there is no way that the Park Hyatt Tokyo is one of the "best hotels in the world".
It feels like an American hotel plopped down in Tokyo with Americanised service and attitude. The only thing that made this place "famous" was the movie (years ago).
There are so many better places to stay in Japan.
Even in Tokyo, the Peninsula and either Four Seasons put the Park Hyatt in the shade.

I'd say Lost in Translation certainly helped boost PHT's reputation as a one of the world's best hotels. It just seems more prestigious and interesting because it was in a movie.
I'll have to try the Peninsula and the Four Seasons next time I'm in Tokyo.

Great photos from Park Hyatt - the lobby -wow what a view.
I enjoyed your many photos and written commentary.
I have stayed at the Park Hyatt Tokyo and think it is outstanding, as good as most of the Four Season Hotels I have stayed at.
Looking forward to your future trip reports.
