Dear all,
Do somebody know if DC PST are still available on usual number ?
I have a M+C flight in 2 days that is affected by a strike at the airport.
So I need to talk to DC and see if they can rebook me on anything else that will allow me to make my connection.
Shall I ring PTS or BA callcenter ?
Thanks & regards,
El Puerco Volante.

BA definitely won't be able to help.

Thanks everybody for very useful replies :D
PTS number still exists, but transfers to ICC.
ICC tells that they can only cancel a *a ticket.
In case of IRROPS - go talk to operating carrier.
In case operating carrier will tell you to talk to carrier who issued the ticket - go screw yourself.
I have a feeling ICC actually enjoys this.
Regars,

Ummmm if ticketing airline won't accept responsibility for resolving the problem and if operating airline won't, then is BMI in breach of any operating requirements to provide post-ticketing support that exist under right to ticket under IATA, any continuing responsibility to Star Alliance to put in place sufficient facilities to deal with such issues that can reasonably be expected to arise... etc?
It seems hard that passenger is left with a party not identified and in place that is responsible to resolve this predictable type of issue. I wonder if IATA and / or Star Alliance structures should have covered necessary provision to be in place for the life of any tickets issued. Does anybody know?

Not sure I ever had a PTS number. Just call DC switchboard and ask for PTS. This worked a couple of weeks ago, but things are changing fast :(.

Frustrating.
However, I'm not surprised the recently-sacked people at PTS have diverted external calls to the ICC. I expect they enjoyed rebooking our multi-sector, multi-carrier, multi-zone tickets just as much as we enjoyed reading and answering questions about them ;)

Do you really think airlines care about IATA rules????I was trying to be diplomatic. My real point was, can they be made to?

Probably not.
IATA rules are there primarily to guide how airlines interact with each other; they're not really there for the consumer's benefit.
I noticed a problem with taxes on a future award ticket. Who do I contact? Is PTA still around? How do I get hold of them? Many thanks.
