Swiss International Airlines - Swiss revenue optimization - the wrong way

I have the pleasure of flying to HKG several times a year - so far it has been no problem to book a D class seat on the ZRH-HKG flight - but now it seems hat D class (which is not exactly cheap) is blocked on numerous days in September and October - J is wide open though and when I look at the seat map, it looks empty as well.

It is understandable that a company tries to improve its revenue - but this is a very dangerous and in my opinion also a delicate matter - a lot of Swiss companies do business in China, forcing them to book a J fare is not a good idea; my company now put me on the waitlist for D class but also booked me on Finnair which is much cheaper - if the waitlist does not clear, then it's by bye Swiss. :td:

I don't like the "Robin Hood" attitude of taking money from companies - I really hope that no company is paying for those overpriced J tickets

It is not just September and October- it is also June and July.

The ticket prices have gone mad. Check out the Lufthansa thread LH Revenue Management has lost the plot.

To pay 6000 EUR to fly to Shanghai when every other carrier is offering for 1800-2600 EUR is not a very good business decision.

Have the same experience but in Y class to MEA bound flights (DXB, NBO, JNB), flight would be zero'ed out in all but B/Y classes until 2 days before departure when it switches to 9 in almost all classes.
Sunday night to JNB was like that,at the end the flight left with at least 20 open seats (plus me on a full fare tix).

I guarantee you I am not doing this a second time, rather go and change planes somewhere...
