Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - Does AS typically sell 7 F seats in 24 hours?

Looking at tomorrow's AS315 SFO-SEA, ExpertFlyer says F7 U0...do they really think they can sell 7 F seats in a little over 23 hours now? I checked in right at T-24 and got no offer to upgrade which, as an AA ExPlat, is the only option I have to upgrade, correct? Is there any other way to get on the UG list other than at the airport?

Thanks.

Basically, but you'll have the chance to purchase the upgrade tomorrow at the airport, assuming they don't sell all 7+, or process the upgraders before you correctly from the priority list. No other way that I know of without U class opening up.

Is Y almost full? There isn't a lot of SEA/SFO capacity these days.

Do AA ExPlat qualify for FC upgrades on AS flights? Did not know that...

On the afternoon flights it's pretty slim, but this flight is the first of the day, and it's 7s across the board. The next flight also has a lot of space.

No...but AS's website says you can cop them at check in if space is available or, alternatively, at the airport.

Actually, this flight is showing F7 U0 A1.

Due to U space masking, U will always show 0 to public-facing tools like EF within 24 hours of departure. But A space is not masked, and only comes out of U space, so in this case you can conclude there is at least 1 U seat available.

If you are trying to upgrade, there is U space available now. AA elites do not get complimentary upgrades, but if you are on a Y/S/B/M/H fare you can pay the $50 upgrade fee (available via online checkin, even if you have already checked in) or use 15K AS miles. If you're on a cheaper fare, you will have to wait till you get to the airport and upgrade at the gate.

Bolded for emphasis- this is probably why the OP isn't being offered an upgrade.

FWIW, if it's F7 now, it's likely to be F-not-zero by the time you get to the gate. ;)
