Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - Weird set up in SHS PIT airport

I've been to this hotel many times, but probably not in 3 years. Checked in last night and realized the set up of this room does not allow TV viewing while in bed. Obviously you can watch TV from the couch/chair area, but you can't see the TV at all (it's actually facing the other way) from the sleeping area.
This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at that you couldn't watch TV while in bed. I actually ended up turning around the dresser/TV stand thing in order to be able to watch from bed. It wasn't easy :D
Anyone else ever seen this?

That does seem odd.
I've been at the SHS Pittsburgh North Shore and if I recall correctly, the TV was in the bedroom area but could be rotated so it could be seen from the living room.
Seems pointless if you couldn't watch it while in bed.

Recently experienced a similar situation in a suite at the Park Hyatt Chicago. The television was mounted to a lateral wall from the bed, and could not be adjusted in any manner. It made view from a natural position in bed rather impossible.

I wish I had snapped a picture or something of it. The TV was literally facing away from the bed and could not be rotated.....

Did you perhaps ask if this is the case in all the rooms, or just this particular room. If it's all the rooms, I want to know to avoid the hotel. If it's just that room, I'd like to know to request a different room should I ever stay in that hotel.

Some SHSs are like this. The CLT Airport location is quite similar, although there the TV is mounted to a stand that is biased away from the bed and towards the sitting area. If you wish to watch TV in or around the bed you have to move the entire ~100lbs stand.
If SHS used couches that were even remotely comfortable this wouldn't bother me. Since they are so poor, what I normally end up doing is moving one of the little coffee tables beside the bed and sit on the bed with my back against the headboard and my laptop on the newly relocated coffee table. Maybe I'm overly sensitive given my knees were destroyed by Texas High School Football in my youth :)

I actually like the new SHS sofas. (Aquamarine I believe, but I've never been good with color names.) The long version is especially comfortable, and the two white/silver moveable higher-than-coffee-tables work really well with the longer sofa.
As many different SHS that I've stayed in over the years, I've fortunately never seen the single TV that is hard to see from the bed. I don't think I'd like that.
