Hi are there noise cancelling headphones in business class? If so are they just for music or can you also use them to cancel out noise when trying to sleep. Thanks

AA does. more4less Jun 19, 12, 1:46 am LX supplies ear plugs ;) APx Jun 25, 12, 7:06 am Hi are there noise cancelling headphones in business class? RTW1 Jun 25, 12, 7:52 am Never seen them on the longhaul C flights I have been on..... Just the regular headphones. yamanote8 Jun 25, 12, 7:58 am And to answer your question, you should be able to use them just to cancel out noise without anything playing, but most noise cancelling headphones are rather bulky and are uncomfortable to wear when sleeping. Just use some earplugs :) muc_flieger Jun 25, 12, 7:59 am LX has noise cancellation headphones in C (longhaul) (as has LH), or at least had as recently as a year ago. KroFlyer Jun 25, 12, 8:03 am SK also provides noise cancelling head phones in longhaul C. airoli Jun 26, 12, 10:10 am LX has noise cancellation headphones in C (longhaul) (as has LH), or at least had as recently as a year ago. I am surprised by that statement. On all my LX C long-haul flights, the airline provides a pair of decent looking, OEM headphones (around-the-ear), but from all I can tell they do not have any active noise cancelling in them, i.e. there is no difference in the noise cancelled between when they are plugged in and when they're not. Wombelero Jun 26, 12, 11:59 am I found that many airlines (incl. LX, LH) advertises hoise canceling headphones in their premium cabins. In comparison to the headphones in coach they do a better job in canceling the outside noise. But only "passively" with better isolating material. They are definitely not ACTIVE noise canceling. That would require an additonal power source which is not delivered through the normal audio cable. Check Sennheiser or Bose for such things. W RTW1 Jun 26, 12, 1:54 pm Again.... never seen any noise cancellation headphones on LX and LH C I flew the last couple of years, just the generic headphones. Don't even know if the C headphones are any different than the ones in Y.... sfoeuroflyer Jun 26, 12, 4:01 pm I fly long haul on the A340 and have never seen real noise cancelling head phones. They are head phones for sure, just not the noise cancelling kind. So I carry my own Bose Quiet Comfort 15s. WestAust Jul 2, 12, 1:08 am SK also provides noise cancelling head phones in longhaul C. SK only offers J class, which is why they offer noise cancelling headphones A380*G Jul 2, 12, 1:35 am SK only offers J class, which is why they offer noise cancelling headphones Last time I checked SK offered C, Y, and M cabins.
