Been trying forever to get a video to play on the Krisworld system via USB. Full of fire I decided to try and make this work.
I had a number of videos from the web and previously recorded on my Blackberry. Transferred them to a USB stick and tried the following file formats.
AVI
MPEG
MP4
MKV
3GP
MOV
I basically tried EVERY file format and attempted lowering the resolution, frame rate and size.
Absolutely no success. Anyone ever get the KW media player to work on ANY USB video file?

The USB connection on the AVOD is not meant for video playback (except out of iPhones/iPods). Only audio and photos.

If you want to play video files, you need a special cable, (red white and yellow) and it's apparently only available on the A345 and A333.
You can also play videos from your iPhone and iPods using the USB connector on the A345 and A333 but not from a USB stick or a BB.

Thanks for this thread. I won't waste time trying to convert formats.
I can't imagine a lot of folks are carrying RCA cables onboard

I'll be flying on the A380 tomorrow SIN-FRA and will attempt to read some videos from my iPhone and iPad. I have the feeling that only videos which are in your "Video" app will be playable. Meaning the videos added to your device through iTunes. I have most of my videos on Buzz Player and VLC, I doubt it will play.
I will try through USB and through the red-white-yellow cable that I have as well for the iPad.

The player on the 380 and the 77W make a serious effort to play from a disk or a USB stick though but without luck as the OP describes.
Looking at photos works though and it shows how incredibly bad the color space of these displays is.
