How it works:

• Remember: Every traveler must register by June 22, 2012 to receive any discount for eligible travel.

Worth noting from the restrictions: "Previous bookings for flights during this period are eligible for the promotion, but you still must register. "

I've been trying to register all day but with no luck.
I click on the link to register, and it takes me into my Account Summary on my True Blue account. There is nothing there that allows me to register.

The timing is good for me since I am flying during the initial period, and then the period for which the $100 applies.

If you've registered by 22 June but haven't yet booked your flight (which will fall within the earning window), is that valid? Or is it register AND book by tomorrow? Thanks.

Hmm...not sure. I read it as saying register by tomorrow, but then in the T&C it says "Registered customers may earn multiple promo code discounts for multiple eligible travel purchased between 6/18/12 and 6/22/12 and flown between 6/25/12 and 8/22/12, but earned promo codes cannot be combined or used together", which implies that you have to purchase.

Do you know the dates of travel? If so, you can purchase the ticket now and it's really easy to get travel credit if the price drops.

Ok, here's my question: if I book the first trip now (after registering,) do I have to wait until after I return from said trip (8/6) to get the promo code and, therefore, book the 2nd trip with the credit? Because 2nd trip will be 9/4 and I'd rather book the trip more than a month in advance, as price will likely go up. I know JetBlue will credit any price drop but having a credit from the summer promo isn't really the same as a price drop.

thanks!

I don't think you get the credit until around 8/30.

From the fine print:

"Applicable discount will be awarded as a promo code, which will be emailed to you on or about 8/30/12."

I don't see any restrictions on when you have to book.

From what I can tell, you just need to register by the 22nd and travel between June 25th and August 22nd. Previously purchased tickets still count as well as future tickets within the travel period.

Once the discount codes are issued at the end of August, you have to use it between August 30 and September 20th for travel from September 4 through November 15th.

With the discount codes, once it is booked, if you cancel the ticket or change it outside of the allowable booking window, only the price minus the discount minus that the change/cancel fee can be applied towards another ticket.

wow I had forgotten about this. No, I haven't seen anything yet either.

Edit: found the original email. The T&C says "Applicable discount will be awarded as a promo code, which will be emailed to you on or about 8/30/12."

Well now we are not just losing booking days, but actual days that the promo code trips could be flown.

Big :td: to Jetblue for this promo. Not a peep from them. It's great to sell a bunch of seats because of a promise of future discount, but you've got to live up to it or explain what the techincal difficulties are in a simple email... otherwise all those seats were bought under false pretenses. It's not difficult to at least communicate.

Has anyone contacted them yet? I hope they remedy this fast, or tell us what's going on.

"The codes were to be e mailed out on or around August 30 however due to a few problems they are going to be sent out on September 5. If you are wanting to use your code to book before then please call us at 1-800-jetblue (538-2583) and ask for the Trueblue department. We can look up your information to verify that you registered and traveled within the promotion dates and we can get you booked over the phone."

anybody gotten their code mailed yet? I don't really have a flight that I was planning, so I haven't called, but if it was a decent amount I might come up with something.

I spent an hour on the phone last Friday trying to sort this out. They eventually flagged my account with the promo.

I'm calling now again, this time to book the flight and have been on the phone for almost another 40 minutes with no resolution. I'm about to give up. This just isn't worth it.

Any thoughts on who at JetBlue I should contact to complain?

Wow, I sent an email to JetBlue through their website. They have already responded and have given me four $50 credits that can be used over the next year.

I'm really impressed.
