Alitalia MilleMiglia - Upcoming JFK-MXP Flight Question

I have a trip coming up to MXP later this week. Done this route before a couple of times on Delta metal but this will be the first time on AZ metal with a Delta codeshare ticket. The plane looks like it's one of the new A330s.

I assume check-in will be at the AZ desk both in JFK and MXP. As a Delta PM is there anything I should be aware of like check-in lanes, boarding, lounge access, etc. ?

Does Alitalia give you options to buy-up to Classica Plus (or even Magnifica) at time of check-in? Are there any upgrade options (either with miles or $)?

Welcome to Flyertalk. Everything about check in etc is pretty standard (as an elite plus, you get business class counter check in, priority boarding, lounge access, etc). Re-your question on buying up, if you look on the forum home page, you'll see that there is a thread literally next to yours called 'does AZ sell J seats at check in or at the gate?' which deals with that exact question! ;)
