How can I find out how many miles I need for spending on various Star Alliance awards.
For example, I live in Nairobi, and wish to use Swiss to London, how do I find out?
Thanks

Did you look on the SAA website under Voyager programme?

I did have a look, and can not see anywhere how many miles are needed for *A partners. They only talk about SAA flights, and partner airlines (non *A such as Emirates, Virgin, Jet Airways, etc.)
I have also had a look at the *A forum. Do you think if I posted this there, it may help?
Thanks for your feedback.

I always log in to voyager account online then click on "awards"
then I click "Issue a Star Alliance award"
then select "departure" "destination" and "cabin" + submit
then voila!

Thanks for that. I did try and can see how it works. The only thing is it deducts the points straight away, and does not let me book or see flight availability. I then have to go with a code to my travel agent, and see if flights are available.:td:

you need to use a tool like expertflyer to check availability.
You do NOT need to redeem the miles to check the number of miles required. That is a going one step too far, and rather silly if you havent confirmed availability first.
The SAA call centre can also help with availability.

Can confirm that I always use one of the ANA-linked tools (KVS or Award Nexus) to look for availability. Then I call Voyager and get the flights booked and ticketed.
OT gripe: I wish SA offered 1-way *A redemptions, though.
Mileage required for Star Alliance awards is shown in the Star Alliance section of the website
