bmi diamond club - anyone matched silver-silver or gold-gold?

[mods, feel free to merge into one of the existing status match threads, but I did ask in one of them pages ago without response...]

So, I'm BA Silver (made it with exactly 600tp, 46 flights, 4 days before year end!) and BD Silver (easy in comparison).

Given the closeness by which I made BA Silver, I thought that I'd apply for a status match to get Silver locked in already for this year. My BA year ended May 8, so I applied May 10. And again, last week.

Since my status is already silver, I can't tell if I've been 'matched' or not, and my card end is still 30 June 13.

Has anyone else tried matching equivalent status? And has anyone got an email from BA confirming their match?

I'm not sure if I should be chasing BA for not matching, or for not following the rules for matching ;)

Um I dunno the exact details, but I was BMI silver through a promotion and then BA status matched me and I became BAEC Silver through their website status matching they had going on. It was very easy and very few details required. So yeah it does work and you should chase em I guess.

Unfortunately, Omar84, that's not answering the question originally asked!

I'm in the same boat, Stewie Mac - requested a "match" although I am already Gold in both, on the basis of this post (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/18675828-post177.html).

I applied only in June, but have not heard anything back (nor seen any change in my dates in BAEC) and am half expecting nothing to change for me. So I would be curious, too, if anyone has (recently) managed to get the + 1 year for a "same-to-same" match...

Nothing against Omar84 and others in his situation, but I will likely struggle to make Silver again on BA this year, and I feel like I'm being penalised for taking 46 BA flights last year...

In the meantime, I've applied again...
