Hertz - Any difference between Class M and M5?

Arriving at Heathrow with kids in tow and heaps of luggage and need to pick up a large family automatic (haven't driven manual in years).

Always booked Class M in previous years and got a Ford Galaxy (no upgrades).

But this year I noticed a Class M5 on the Web site for the first time (is it new?) which offers a Ford S-Max Auto instead, and is significantly cheaper.

Anyone know the difference between the two classes. What, if anything, would I be missing out by going for the cheaper class?

On the Web site they're both listed as 7 seaters and the cheaper S-Max auto is actually listed as having a bit more luggage space (2 large and 2 small v 1 large and 2 small) so I'm kind of having trouble figuring this out?

The S-Max is smaller than a Galaxy,you will get 7 adults in the Galaxy but the rear seats in the S-Max are for kids

S-Max and Galaxy are nearly identical, the S-Max has a sportier look and less space in the back but they share the same platform/engines

I will be renting from Hertz this summer and need a 7 passenger vehicle and luggage room for all 7 people. HOw much luggage room will the S Max have for at least 7 suitcases.

We are 5 adults and 2 small kids.

S-Max + luggage for seven? I had one for four people, and there's no chance it could have taken three more and their luggage. I'd say 5 + luggage + 2 people in a second car is your best solution.

What about Mercedes Vito or Vianno, which supposedly seat 9 people?

Anyone rent one of these and have suggestions where to get the best price considering I will pickup at Nice airport and drop off in Lisbon Airport?

Do not expect the Galaxy or S-Max to carry 7 passengers and luggage! You will definitely need to consider N4 Opel Vivaro or A6 Mercedes Viano (similar vehicles in size and comfort but A6 is automatic)
