Air France Frequence Plus - Is AF667 overbooked today?

I am booked in J and when I try to online check-in I get the <!> response. Even my confirmed seat won't show. The flt shows on-time but looks full even upfront.

More likely it is just an OLCI issue. Even if the flight is overbooked, as an FB Plat you would be least likely to be bumped or downgraded.

I'll be interested to hear what happened as I plan to fly 667 next month.

I don't think anything "happened"

Yes, it was overbooked in Y and J was full. As a Plat I was fine but they were telling the people checking in next to me that there was no seat for them on the plane.

My concern is the 6 of us in J (booked many months ago, paid fares all) would loose the seats we so carefully selected.

Overbooked flights may happen on all airlines, on all routes. So I would not worry if I were you. If this can make you feel more comfortable, ORD route on AF is usually more Y heavy than J heavy. So, have a glass of wine and relax ;)
