Chase Ultimate Rewards - chase card service vs chase bank usa

Two days ago, I had an alert from my credit monitoring service about Chase Bank USA having an inquiry on my New accounts(?). Then today I receive another notice about Chase Card Service having an inquiry on my New Accounts.

What is the difference between the two Chases ?

Do I need to be concern?

I wouldn't worry about it. It is for the same product/credit card that you applied for and is now getting reported, just a small difference in how the CRAs enter it in their records.

CHASE BANK USA = Experian, Transunion
Chase Card Services = Equifax

A quick check for the date of the Inquiry will confirm it.

My last card I applied for was in Mid May 2012 which there was a hard inquiry from Chase on the day I applied for the card. I haven't applied for any credit card since then.


Am I okay? Are you saying that CRA is entering it in their records now via soft inquiry?

Ah thanks for clarifying that. I think your statement was recently cut and now your new credit card is getting reported with the balance that showed up in the last statement. You can login to your chase account and see if the first statement is now available for you to view. (probably cut on 12th/13th).
