KLM Flying Dutchman - KLM Open 2012

Has any Elite(+) member received an email from KLM with a offer for the KLM Open 2012? All the Ivories in my family have received an email that they can order tickets with an E10 discount now but I've received nothing. Usually, Silver and Gold Elites get the second ticket free and Plats 2 free tickets.

I think I might attend this year.

Also does anybody know if the free Platinum tickets are linked to the statusholder (and proof of 'platinumship' is required)?

I received the e-mail this week.
I believe it is not necessary to show your PE card for the tickets; you only need it upon booking (the number).

It's actually quite fun to go, as long as the weather is nice. For the last two years I have been there and actually quite enjoyed.

Can you take a chaperon into the lounge (it is for all FB Elite members no?)? And what can I expect from that lounge?

Yep, you can bring a friend. The lounge is nicely decorated and the snacks are good. A bit crowded but definitely worth to pay a visit

In addition: they also have free goodies (last year I got a FB branded hand scale to weigh a suit case) this one I use a lot

I've been going back and forward with the KLM Open organisation and their ticket handler to get my second ticket free. They won't give it.
