Hi everyone! This is my first trip report so don't hate on it to bad please! So anyways on to the report its from a trip I took last year to Maui to help clean my dead grandparents house during my spring break. Now for some flight info

Now the story!
Intro
I was on cloud 9 the Morning of March 27th 2011. It was my second time flying alone The other time I flew alone it was easy, I had over 2 hours to find everything at LAX, but this time I knew it was going to be different. My flight into LA would get into a gate a T-8 around 8:10 the door on my next flight was to close at 8:40. So I knew I would have to run. But once I got on my flight to Maui I could relax and do home work most of all I love the long recline of UA Domestic First, its very nice!
Paper Work!
So I get on the plane and sit in my seat 2B. I asked the flight attendant if she thought I could make the flight to which she replied yes there are a lot of you going to Maui so you will be fine. and my luck appeared to be good as we pushed back from the gate about 10 min early then the good luck decied to go to bad luck and came crashing down on me when Capt comes on the PA and says we are missing Paper Work and it should be 10 min at max of sitting. Well 10 min turns into 11 which goes to 12 which goes to 15 which goes to 20 min. Now normally I would not mind being stuck on a plane, but today is not one of them. We finally get into the air where I decide to relax be for the LAX Marathon
The LAX Marathon and I cant find the Gate
We landed in LA at 8:15 then it takes another 2 min to the gate, which for once was near the top end of T-8, but it took them another 5-6 min to connect and open the door to the gate. At this point I am starting to freak I know odds are I will make it, but you never know . So I get my bag and I start to run up jet way stopping to check gate which was gate 74. So I get to the sign where it says gate 74 but I don't see the podium because of a wall. Well I get to the person and go down the red carpet she made me go behind every one and "wait my turn" in the economy line granted their was like 4 people but that is besides the point I wanted to go down the red carpet like I was allowed to thanks to my UDU. I hand the lady my ticket she has this face of what a kid is flying alone in first? But I just smile and walk to the gate or where I thought the gate would be turns out it is just a window so I think okay I swear it was right here when I was running to it then I see this small corner with a door and go oh their is the gate and walk my way down said gate.
A Fancy Seat Mate and the Box
So I get to the plane and find my seat my seat mate turns out to be some guy from Germany (I saw his Passport) who is very dressed for the flight and in the back of my mind I go. "This is funny I am not even dressed up I just have jeans and a shirt on" So anyways because it was spring break a few of my teachers decide to give us Home Work, but it was easy and so I planed to put under the seat ahead of me and then work after I eat on the plane because I was starving by this point. Well I come to find out oh it does not fit thanks to a stupid box, but I kept trying and after a few min, the guy next to goes "Do you want me to put in the bin real fast, I need to get a pen from up in the bin anyways." to which I say yes please.
Time to recline....but only if "The Queen of First Class" lets me
After eating UA's eggs and potatoes with Honey Due and other fruits I figure time to do home work oh joy! So thankfully at same time the person next to me had to get up so I grabbed my Home Work and laptop which did fit under box. At same time I decided I am going to get relaxed and recline for once while doing home work. So I hit the button recline and start working on a prob and as soon as I do I hear from behind "excuse me" so I look back and say "yes " and "The Queen of First Class" goes can you please bring your seat up. I wanted to say no but I ended up bring seat up. 5 min later I had been unable to finish one problem. So I decided to recline and get one problem done before "The Queen of First Class" asks again. A few more minutes go by and as I had just hit the button once more I hear "excuse me" and say "yes" once more and she asks me to put my seat up again (Did I forget to say she was shorter then me and she was just sitting their doing nothing) this time, I go ahead and say quietly to my self "okay fine Oh Queen of First Class I will go up 1/2 way I need room to be able to write comfortable (which means legs stretched out but their is a little box so thus I must recline fully) and not have to risk spilling my soda on my home work which happens to be a test" and raise it up 1/2 way. Which I end up doing and finishing my work. So then I pull out laptop but in order to get I need to recline to be able to bring up to my table. But you guessed it "The Queen of First Class" strikes once more!!!!:mad: This time I say politely as I can it will be one sec I am trying to grab my laptop with out hitting person next to me or something. She goes oh okay. After laptop is placed on the tray table I go you know what I am staying reclined. Well she noticed and taped me on shoulder because by now I am rocking out to my music and she goes can you bring it up this time I don't listen to her because her seat has been fully reclined whole time and person behind her does not care and she is starting to get on my nerves as well so I ignore her because the worst she can do is get a flight attendant, and I think they would agree with me, because the person in front of me was reclined and their was one in the back who saw her keep asking. Well anyways she does not give up and every few min I get a tap and then another. After a while she gave up (For me it was a thank the lord sorta thing)! :D and thus I had beat "The Queen of First Class"
The rest of the flight was normal. And oh yah on the 1/2 way to Hawaii game I was in 4th the flight attendant told me later. I was proud cause normally I am off my an hour every time.:D and a big ^ to the person who won which was a ten year old who was starting algebra in a month or so apparently.
