i am in the process of booking an upgrade award ticket :confused:
the last time i did this i had a couple of hiccups.
this time they are asking for copy of passport and form completion.
also it says i will need to go to the local office (not local to me) to collect my ticket this has to be all done by 18/06/12, not open weekends,:eek:
at the moment i have e-tickets and last time i just rang the local office paid what i needed to and they emailed me the upgrade e-ticket. has the process change?
can i just ring the local office as i did before any help would be appreciated.

Well...a few years ago they invented this thing called Computer. Buy one and do this online.

yes I do have a computer :-), coincidently, I did that the last time and that was where the hiccups I mention happened, but I wasn't going into that experience, I would rather forget it, as at the time it was a tad annoying. :-)

well after over a week too-ing and fro-ing emailing, yesterday i checked and miles had been deducted^ i waited with baited breath and this morning just received the email confirming i can pick my tickets up from local office it has to be done by 23:59 tonightttttttttttttttt.:confused:
in its self isn't so bad if the local office was actually open, i may lose the flight if i do not comply with the instruction :eek: i have lost the will to live:)

just got off the phone to Mohamed at member services he assures me that it will be ok for us to collect the tickets tomorrow by telephoning Manchester. the flight up grade would not be cancelled. i asked for an email confirming this but he said there was no need as he was the only Mohamed at customer services.

my problems may just beginning but thats a different story nothing is easy:D, but the answer to my original question
is yes, i can ring the office and pay any dues after i have received my email confirming award seats, and they then send out the e- tickets i dont have to trail the globe to get my tickets ^

when i rang manchester this morning i was told i could have rang them at the start of the process ^ they could have checked the availability of the award seats ^ they could have filled in the form for me ^ they could have sent it to me in an email ^ i would then need to sign it, email it back, then pay the dosh and get my tickets ^ can it be that easy all sorted in a matter of days not two weeks :confused: i will certainly give it a go next time and report back

now alex about my other problem :eek:
