New England - Requesting information on New Hampshire Traffic - Rte 16

My step-daughter and family moved to Wolfeboro NH. Last time we visited, about 2 years ago, we flew into Boston and drove from there. There was major construction on Rte 16, the Spaulding Turnpike, in the vicinity of Rochester, NH that caused major delays (and hour or more). She rarely drives that route so I was wondering if anyone has been there recently and has any information about the status of that construction. Thanks.

The construction is ongoing but most of it is complete and they are continuing north. There really are no delays unless you are traveling at rush hour. That tends to back up over the bridge out of Newington. Try not to travel on Friday after 2pm as everyone from Boston is going the same way...

Rode up to Laconia Bike Week last weekend and the construction/widening is finished on Route 16 almost to the Route 11 exit that you would take to Wolfeboro. Unless it is the evening rush hour, you shouldn't have any problems.
