Hilton HHonors - Hampton Inn - Oneonta, New York

Had a fine stay at this Hampton Inn, which is (by far) the closest Hilton family property to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown -- nothing particularly stood out, but I have no complaints, either.

I do want to give them a shout-out on FlyerTalk, though, for having the TV channels arranged in (mostly) alphabetical order: first the broadcast channels, which went in order ABC, CBS, CW, Fox, NBC, PBS, Telemundo, Univision; then the cable channels, which were arranged A&E, AMC, BBC, BET, etc. I think only MSG and HBO were out of order, coming at the end of the list after regional news channel YNN.

I stayed at this property two years ago with some friends of mine. We did the Beverage Trail, with special attention paid to Ommegang Brewery.

Anyway, the GM at the time upgraded us to a two-bedroom suite, and every single member of the staff was INCREDIBLE. I usually inspect properties as a QA auditor does when I travel, but even the condition/ cleanliness was superb.

The current GM is just as amazing as her predecessor. Go go go stay at this hotel!

Yes, I hope my "nothing particularly stood out" comment didn't come off as "damning with faint praise" -- nothing stood out because everything was good.
