Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - Star Alliance Upgrade Question

I am TG gold with quiet a few miles in the bank.

I am going LHR - PVG on CA7022 Air China ticket but Virgin metal.

Is there anyway I can use my TG miles to upgrade this ticket?

I have had a hunt around the TG website and the Star Alliance but still have no idea. :(:confused::(

It's not on *A metal? Upgrading isn't going to happen then (at least not with TG miles).

Thanks I feared the worse but the ticket was so cheap I had to buy it. :D

nope, VS is a partner of a partner...you can probably get some miles if you are with KrisFlyer but then as you mention that the ticket was "so cheap"...it's possible that it's a 0% ticket..

No. In such circumstances, I think you can only earn miles with CA or VS. And FYI, no recognition or benefits of *G either.
