I usual have to struggle late in the year to requlify for my CP, have had it for 4 years, but this year I have already requlified for 2013. So now what should I do about points? I always have my Marriott hotel stays post as points to SWA is it a better deal to now have them stay at Marriott? I have over 250K SWA points already. Any tips and tricks would be welcomed.

I requalified for my CP a couple months ago. Since RR 2.0 I have kept all hotel and car points in their programs. Once I got over 500k points banked I switched 70% of my flights to Delta. I just cashed in 80k points for 2 tickets (on Delta) to Hawaii using "more rewards". I may switch back to WN in a month or so to build back to 500k.

It seems to me the value of up to 2 years' Companion Pass generally outweighs the straight value of the WN points. So once you hit the 110K level, you should figure out a way to steer those points into some form that can later be converted to WN points at the moment of your choosing, to generate a new 2-year CP, even if you have to take a haircut.
Choice points, Marriott points, Wyndham, Diners, Ultimate Rewards (if laundered through Hyatt or Marriott), whatever.
Once you are over 110K CP-qualifying points for that calendar year, additional points are somewhat "wasted," with a max value of 1.67 cents.
