Star Alliance - Quick question: UAL-LH-Air Brussels

We bought the ticket from UAL. We travel today! The flight from BRU to BER has a Lufthansa number but is operated by Air Brussels. UAL gave us a separate record loicator number for Lufthansa. However, I cannot do seat selection for tomorrow morning's flight via LH or BAir websites.
When we get to Brussels, where to go? Lufthansa or Air Brussels to check in and get out boarding passes?

It's not Air Brussels. But Brussels Airlines (SN). It's an LH subsidiary. When you check-in at IAD this evening, there's a good chance you will get your BRU-BER boarding pass so you won't have to worry. If not, check-in with SN in Brussels. When you get off your UA flight follow the signs for "transfers".
