Credit Card Programs - Can Citi Thank you points be transferred to any airline FF program?

Can Citibank Thank you rewards points be transferred directly to any airline frequent flier program?

There was a thread about this. Rumors that TYP could be transferred to BA or SQ. But nothing has happened yet.

Near the end you will see a plausible explanation for the rumor. Citi created the system to make transfers, trained the CSR's, and then opted not to offer it.
