Which Southwest city pairs have the highest nonstop flight frequency? I'm pretty sure #1 is DAL <-> HOU with 25 nonstops. #2 might be OAK <-> BUR with 14. Any other contenders?

My 2009 paper timetable shows 16 flights in this market. It's been a steady reduction in frequency since then. This fall it will drop even further. I'm not liking it, but the company has to make money.

It's funny that WN has ultra high frequency shuttle service between HOU-DAL and SFO/OAK/SJC - LAX/BUR/SNA/ONT yet the "experts" reuse to acknowledge that they serve "lucrative business routes". Because as we all know, Ma and Pa are the ones that need 25 flights per day on a route.

I see 12x LAX-OAK in October. Regardless, I remember the hourly shuttle flights on LAX-OAK. At least they still fly to SFO and SJC so you get a great schedule going to the Bay Area if you have some flexibility in arrival/departure points...

Not in the same league, but MDW - STL has 11, and MDW - MCI has 10.

I'm pretty sure this is due to shifting some LAX flights over to SFO. LAX <-> SFO started off at 8x daily when Southwest returned to SFO in 2007, and is now up to 11x daily. I think the combined frequency SFO/OAK <-> LAX has remained roughly the same.

I remember when WN had 18 flights LAX/LAS. That was about the same time United Shuttle had 12 daily between LAX/LAS, so I'm dating myself and living in the past.

Of course, now I'm dealing with one daily N/S between LAS/TUL and connections via PHX or DEN.
