Fri - May 31 - low season - cheaper rate
Sat- June 1 - higher rate due to 'high season'.

If i book that as BOGO, do I pay the cheaper one, and get the higher rate for free? b/c when I look at it, all i see is 'average rate'...
yet the BOGO T&C specifically says '2nd night free'..

confused. :(

Thanks so much!

It will show up as average rate when you book, but you will get the 2nd night free. This worked out for me as well over Memorial w/e in San Fran at Mark Hopkins when Friday night was $189 and Saturday night was $229...

I've read here where some properties have tried to charge the higher rate, so be sure you keep an eye on your final bill!

Just stayed at Intercontinental Adelaide using my Ambassador bogo certificate and the stay has shown up as non qualifying stay.
Past stays using the certificate usually post.
Anyone found this issue?

a friend of mine just had the same problem in sydney so has complained to PC.
I suggest you do the same.
it seems to me that Australian ICs dont want AMB business.

what is the problem here in Australia they should all get a kick up the A==s.

Thanks tinkly belle.
Have sent missing points report.
With the ic group losing hotels in oz they need to keep giving us reasons to stay and not defect.

Just wondering
Is the AMB rate always = to BAR or does it differ sometimes.

I'm looking at IC Venetian and BOGO rate used to be BAR rate, now BAR has dropped but BOGO still the same.

I've stayed at Perth and Adelaide as a Plat A and Melbourne as a RA and never had any significant issues. Once, the Rialto posted a stay as non-qualifying, but that was an issue with the InterCon web site and a quick call to A services sorted it out.

Thanks tinkly belle.

IMO they do, and quite nicely, but you and others may disagree.

BTW I'd recommend ringing A services rather than filling out the missing points report. Much more likely to resolve the issue to your satisfaction and will get it done right then and there.
