I'm traveling out of London in Oct 2012. My companion is Air Canada Super Elite status. I have two questions:
1) LHR T3 has two Singapore Airlines lounges. Can we get into both of them?
2) which has the best hot food? (2 Singapore airlines lounges + AC/SAS Lounge) If anyone is able to list the hot food offerings at each lounge that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

You can access either *A departure lounge at LHR T3. The options are better at the SQ J lounge IIRC (not lounges - the lounge has an F & J section - you can access the J section). Someone else will hopefully pop along with food options at each. Neither are great though.

Hard to say which will be better by October as the Singapore Lounge is about to close for refurbishment http://www.businesstraveller.asia/asia-pacific/news/singapore-airlines-to-temporarily-close-lounge- reopening in late July and may have an improved offering. However Singapore will also be moving from 3 to 4 flights daily from Heathrow from October 21, so might be more passengers to fight for hot food.
SQ has tastier hot options. SAS lounge has wider selection, but much of it is cold/salad type options.
Disclaimer, I have only visited in morning/afternoon

Singapore Airlines has one first and one business class lounge. You will not get access to their first class lounge under any circumstances unless you have a first class ticket.
There is only usually hot food in the business class lounge in the run up to their own departures to SIN when the lounge is quite busy. At that time, it's quite normal that they refuse entry to non-SQ passengers as they are entitled to on the basis that the lounge is busy. Think about all the pax from an A380 in C (88 seats) plus any *G card holders in Y plus guests and the business lounge is regularly very full.
At other times there is a small collection of sandwiches and the usual sort of lounge nibbles. It tends to be a bit quieter than the SAS/AC lounge as it's more out of the way but it's not really any better.
