No survey (thanks to a UK iPhone), but my sister always just takes a quick walk to McDonald's and uses their wifi. :) NewbieRunner Jun 15, 12, 4:18 am An excellent idea! @:-) In that case the most convenient hotels might be the Radisson Blu Edwardian or the Sheraton Heathrow as there seem to be at least two McDonalds on Bath Road. ^ rwoman Jun 15, 12, 4:28 am An excellent idea! @:-) In that case the most convenient hotels might be the Radisson Blu Edwardian or the Sheraton Heathrow as there seem to be at least two McDonalds on Bath Road. ^ Yes, one is pretty much near the Sheraton LHR, while the Park Inn, Rennaissance, HI LHR, HI Heathrow Ariel, Sheraton Skyline, Marriott, and Radisson Blue are near the other McDonalds. CVO 1K 2 Million Jun 15, 12, 4:30 am Agreed about Mac's option...I've done it before with these caveats: * I'm not a wifi poacher...I will always purchase something * The weather is semi-decent...no fun to get bundled up..walk a few minutes to do a quick send/receive email * The Mac's is open But I think I'm going to try the Ibis option..room rate is very reasonable, close to (free) bus stop, and appears that there is free wifi in the lobby according to some TripAdvisor reviews.. Mart81 Jun 15, 12, 4:52 am At least the Ibis will not cost you an arm and a leg, I've experienced room rates up to £450 in the Sheraton Heathrow before. Apart from that, in this day & age WiFi access should be complimentary in any hotel, I tend to avoid hotels with rip off internet rates. dh01 Jun 15, 12, 5:30 am The Radisson has free internet throughout the hotel rwoman Jun 15, 12, 7:00 am ^^ Good to know - I'm staying there in 2 weeks before flying out to the US! :D The Radisson has free internet throughout the hotel CVO 1K 2 Million Jun 15, 12, 2:51 pm Posting from the Ibis....unfortunately the all inclusive 24 hour rate is 9.99 GBP...there is a one hour internet access rate of 4.99 GBP ;) HIDDY Jun 15, 12, 3:15 pm I've experienced room rates up to £450 in the Sheraton Heathrow before. .
