I have just spent the last 30 mins clunking around inside the SQ website trying to find the list of airlines that they will interline baggage with.

Unless I am dreaming I am SURE i saw this info on there some time back.. Would anyone have the link handy..?

Reason for asking is I will be flying JFK-IST-SIN at christmas on TK and SQ with separate tickets and only 85 mins connection in IST. Timing is a bit tight but should be ok as long as i can check my bags right through. As they are both *A I am pretty sure I am safe but just want to double check...

Basically SQ will interline to most scheduled airlines except LCCs. It will differ if connecting FROM other carriers nd this you've got to ask with TK.

:D Funniest post I've read in ages. ;)

You are correct to double check, and in this instance with TK. Brash, but common assumption to assume that two airlines in the same alliance will through check luggage if on separate tickets. I fell foul of this in the past SQ>NZ was OK, NZ wouldn't through check to SQ though, luckily I had some time to kill so collecting baggage and passing through immigration was OK. Always pays to check with the carrier you will be checking in with.

Good point and thanks for the heads up.

I spoke to my friendly contact at the TK office here in Sg and this is the official response..

If you fly on the same day connection then your baggage can be tagged all the way to your final destination but please inform the staff at the check in counter your onward flight.

Hmmm. Might bring a printout along just in case.. :D
