Travel Tools - Mileage Calculator App for Smartphone?

Does anyone know of a good mileage calculator app for smartphones? Ideally it should be something localized that doesn't require accessing data service except for weekly updates.

I have an iPhone and didn't find anything particularly useful on the App Store so I came up with my own table of routes I usually fly and have "indexed" miles to quickly add up. I suppose one could simply download the UA app (or whatever airline of choice) and check your mileage statement--but that still requires accessing data over the air. I use this as a "planning tool" to figure out routes and mileage...

Isn't it on the *A app? I've looked for similar apps and have not found one. Perhaps we can team up, develope one and split the zillion dollars we would make :D

I use AirMileCalc, it probably won't match 100% with UA's mileage distances, but it's simple and easy to use. :)

Actually, I like the simplicity of AirMileCalc. Purely functional.

What I was trying to get at--something I've posted somewhere else before is the following:
1. App works across all smartphone platforms and includes all ST, *A, 1W and other routes. Many of us are members of 2, 3 or more of these so it would be nice not to be held hostage to 2, 3 or more apps. Just one please.
2. Works mostly at local level, with weekly updates to load routing changes. Or you can manually 'push' the update on request.
3. One of the key functions is for SDC. Many of us have been in this situation where we are coming out of a meeting early, like to "stretch" an itin to get extra miles or simply would like to route through a specific airport b/c we know the lounges, spots and convenience factor and etc. This SDC function would display available routes based on the traveler's fare class, status, current time/location and flight inventory on interested airline(s). Besides available routes, getting intel on mileage and inventory would ultimately help the flyer make a decision.

I thought it would be nifty to have something like this in my pocket BEFORE I call my airline of choice hotline. Heck, if the airlines can squeeze it into their system somehow--it would be cool to "confirm" SDC from your phone without an agent. Too good to be true, I know.

This seems a better topic for the Travel Tools Forum, thanks.
