Am I able to merge AirFrance accounts - perhaps as some sort of family account? To make some sense of two low balances which together as one pooled balance may be more useful.

If yes, post merger, is there any restriction on third party bookings?

No to merging them, but certain credit cards might let you transfer the miles among accounts. Usually this isn't worthwhile.

Strange. This is the third similar request today for a topic that has not come up in a long, long time.

Flying Bat - depending on your location you may be able to obtain a Flying Blue branded Amex, which amongst its features is "Share & Fly" which would allow you to pool miles.

Thanks for the tips. I am now sitting on a pile of these points and I am pulling my ( little remaining ) hair out trying to figure out a way to use them. Other than the obvious flying, options for car hire seem to attract absurdly high point tariffs, and hotel stays ( is it just Hilton? ) seem to offer equally poor redemption value.

Any ideas on sensible redemption use, ( other than the webflyer promos ) much appreciated.

Making a donation to charity

You can donate your Award Miles to a charity chosen by you from the list of Flying Blue’s partner associations. The minimum donation is 3,000 Award Miles, which you can increase in units of 1,000 Miles (provided that you have at least 10,000 Award Miles on your Flying Blue account).

Make a donation to charity (http://www.klm.com/travel/travel_en/flying_blue/earn_and_spend_miles/aircares_donation/index.htm)

Otherwise, every non-flight redemption opportunity is listed here:
