Hello
I have just returned from working a conference here.
One of their elevators slammed shut on me and today I am fairly sore and bruised.Their elevators do not have the sensors I thought were required and I heard many other guests complaining .Fortunately their was a couple on the one that shut on me and they were able to pry it open and off of me.
I had reported it as a safety issue and completed all paper work they asked me to complete .i was promised a copy of the report by the catering manager however later was then told he has no authority and the head of security refused to provide me a copy. I then asked for the GM
Got the rooming directory and he gave me the same song and dance refusing to provide me with a copy. I explained I needed this to provide my employer in case anything should arise. I was told again that I could not have a copy of the report that I myself completed and signed.
Again they refused even after I reminded them that had a child been in the door they would have been seriously injured.
I then shared that they had now taken a guest who had been injured on their property , who has been been more than reasonable and left me no alternative but to involve my attorney to get a copy.

All of this after my company hosted a dinner that was at least 15k as well as rented the largest booth space and rooms.
Looking for how others would handle this.Anyone have Scott stuckey's
Email or phone?
Thanks

One leverage point to consider: the elevator would likely be operating under some type of license from the city, county, or other unit of government...

It would be beneficial to give that inspection agency a heads-up.

Good luck.

Please no discussion on pending legal issues even if its just potential.
