I suspect just like Airpoints, this is a product only accepted by Kiwis who would buy anything NZ sell to them and they call it a success. Try selling Airpoints in another country, it would become a laughing stock.

It's two-way traffic. Is the airline educating and incentivising its distribution networks about the product sufficiently so that it goes right on top of agents' minds when they are selling? They have no responsibility to sell your skycouch just because it's new or novel.
I check NZ's local websites and skycouch is not even introduced there or has a proper name in other languages such as chinese. They should do more before shifting the responsibility to others.
