I'm planning a 3 weeks trip to WA for next March/April. I've figured out most of the trip but am stuck on the last 5 days or so - especially given that's it's the end of the wet season.
Our plan so far:
3 days in Perth
6 days in the MR area. Probably based in Yallingup and do day trips from there
5 days in Exmouth/Coral Bay (we'll be flying from Perth rather than driving)
We have 5 or 6 days left to figure out what to do. My first thought was to fly to Broome and drive the Gibb River Road to Kununurra, but given this will be the 2nd week of April, I doubt the road will be open. Are there other options to explore the Kimberley that are as good as the GRR or other areas in the Broome vicinity that anyone would recommend?
The other option that I thought of was spending these 5 or 6 days in Karijini - perhaps at the eco retreat. I'm getting the feeling that this might be a little too much time to spend there. Any thoughts?
I'm open to other ideas too...planning WA is getting a little overwhelming!
