Yeah I got the same thing but got 750 points. I agree it was a nice gesture! Some folks are also receiving the "summer stretch" promo which is an extra 25% bonus for Select members on their travel or a 50% bonus for S+.

I'm disappointed at not getting the summer stretch promo. Not sure why Amtrak has excluded some of its best customers!

I say give the marketing guy the boot for his excellent strategy to alienate the best customers :p.

I guess it depends on how much you will be traveling this summer. If you got the 50% bonus would you get more or less than 1500 points?

I think I would have raked in 100 bonus points a day in the summer and I pretty much travel every work day so I'm missing out on quite a bit. Although the 1000 point bonus does mitigate some damage...

Didn't get an email, but after seeing this thread I checked my account and it was under promotions. Got 1,500 points.
