Today, at FLL terminal 2, I opted out and after about 5 sec of waiting I told the TSO at the x-ray machine that I was not able to see my belongings. I also mentioned that she was violating the TSA directive by not allowing me to see my stuff. After about a minute of nothing I called for a supervisor (which, btw, all that minute was walking back and forth around me and hitting me with parts of her body without saying anything. There was enough room to pass by without doing that but she is just not a nice person if I may say so). When she came back she did not move my anywhere until a TSO came to frisk me.
The TSO (one striper) seemed pissed off already and tryied to say something but I just stopped him a repeated that a TSA directive was violated. The TSO was getting red but the STSO came right in time to stop him from being stupid and told him not to talk to me. BTW, all that was happening in front of a LEO from the Broward Sheriff office.
After I received my Monday's molestation the STSO came to me and asked for my boarding pass. She said she had to file a report about whatever it was I did not like. Though, she did not really asked me what it was. I reminded her that I did not like the several minutes when I could not see my stuff and told her that I hope the report would be all about improving the customer service and something about me not being nice. Well, anyway, this was the first time they copied my boarding pass. Before, I's been my driver license, my passport etc.
BTW, it's the second time at the terminal 2 at FLL that the STSO tells me that he/she is the acting TSM and refusing to actually call one. Is that true at all?
I'm pretty sure this is not going to end up well for me one day. That entire shift knows me now and the supervisor has not been nice before as well.

I'd like to know that, too. From what I've been told on the boards, I was under the distinct impression that a non-TSO TSM was required to be on duty whenever an airport c/p is open for business. If as STSO is claiming to be the "acting TSM", this to me means that there is no actual TSM on duty, which would be in violation (if I understand the policy correctly).

Resident TSOs - is it actually TSA policy that a real, bona-fide TSM must be on duty whenever a c/p is in operation? Can an STSO act as a TSM? Or was your collegue merely treating MAMOHT like a mushroom?

Unless there is an anomaly during the screening process that cannot be resolved, under no circumstances should a TSO take you I/D from you let alone have it be copied! A LEO is a different story but never a TSO and they can threaten you with D-Y-W-T-F-T all they want but if there are no anomalies, you must (n.b. must) be allowed into the insecure sterile area without any further action or impedance.

Another question for the TSOs here, what's the policy, SOP, or common practice if the passenger in this situation uses a mobile boarding pass?
