bmi diamond club - BA or BMI to Jordan in August 2012 ?

I have a booking with BMI to travel to Jordan in August, and I am trying to find out what potential changes there may be to services and flights.

It is a mileage booking via Virgin Atlantic and in Business Class.

So, naturally, I am keen to understand if there are likely to be plane changes, and if so, would that be a similar place equipped with Club World seats.

Also, interested to see what the changes to baggage allowances may be.

I see that Hand Luggage is reduced with BA, compare to the details on the BMI site.

Appreciate any guidance you are able to give.

Thanks

Mark

Starting on 4 July, the AMM flights can be operated with either BA or BMI aircraft and crew. Per the FAQ from BA's website:

http://www.britishairways.com/travel/bmi-faq/public/en_gb

When flights change to have BA flight numbers, in the range BA 8038 to BA 8199, they will initially be operated by bmi (British Midland) aircraft and crew.

Over the summer they will be transferring to British Airways aircraft and on-board service.

They don't mention hard product changes

Thanks, I saw that too, BA have said they would contact everyone affected by the 18th June, so I will give it a few more days, and probably have to contact them.

Just received notification last night that BA will operate the flight, however, I have no idea if they will be using the BMI planes, or BA ones.

And if they are using the BA ones, I am hoping it will be a CW fitment and not a CE one .

Looking through the schedule for August, it appears that the BA flights in August are operated by BMI. I'd guess that August is probably too soon for integration, particularly during the holiday/high season.

BA is using BMI airplanes with its own flight numbers

As this is actually about BMI / BA, it will relocate to the bmi diamond club forum for member input.

Thank you for your understanding.

AMM moves fully to BA control this Wednesday, 4th July. It'll still be a bmi liveried plane with bmi midhaul cabin; definitely in August.

For the latest list see... bmi FAQ No.7 : bmi Routes/Class of Service available/Earning Rates (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/bmi-diamond-club/944044-bmi-routes-class-service-available-earning-rates.html)

Thanks for the confirmation, I had n't actually checked here for a few days, and got the same message from BA a few moments ago.

They expect it to be a BMI plane, however, have suggested I check a few days before hand.

Just wanted to make sure they did n't switch it from BMI Business Class to a BA Club Europe one.

The booking is made more complex, as it was booked through Virgin using Virgin Miles.

Just to confirm, AMM moved today. Got my day wrong.

There are no 100% guarantees, but it's 99.99% sure to be bmi metal with bmi midhaul cabin; so you can relax....

And might even be one with the new flat bed seats, slim line economy seats, AVOD IFE, and power points in every seat. Or it might be one of the old bangers!

I will be happy as long as it's not a BA plane with Club Europe seating, as we had spent the miles and money on a Business Class cabin that had reclining seats.
Lie flat beds would be nice, but not essential on a 5 hour flight.

I don't have an issue flying BA, and usually do across Europe, this is all to do with expectations at time of booking and finally getting to Jordan after a 2 year wait.
