KLM Flying Dutchman - Fast Track Schengen to Non Schengen at AMS?

Can't find any posts on this, so please excuse my ignorance if it has been posted before in a separate thread. I did bring it up in another thread (probably missed as it was OT) but no replies so will try it's own instead...
What happened to the fast track between Schengen and Non Schengen at AMS (air-side) for Elites and Elite+ PAX? It has been boarded up for a good while now so was wondering if it is gone forever or if they are doing something smart to bring it back (I don't really use AMS for non Schengen transit, but it's good fun to watch the lines from the lounge upstairs ;))
Strange that KLM's main hub is not offering this service to it's top tier FF even as a temp if they are refurbishing the lane... Poor show in deed :td:

The security queue from non-Schengen to Schengen can be quite long. Remember that there is a priority line (if you are Skyteam Elite (Plus)) or a short connection line which is open at peak times. If you flight is listed on the monitor you may use this line (which is located on the left).
I think we can safely assume that the same is true in reverse.

Actually, non-Schengen to Schengen gets considerably more 'clogged up', as this requires consecutive passport control and security scanning; the other way round (leaving Schengen, as per the OP's observation) only requires passport control; and, for EU travellers, this is very cursory.
On recent travels through AMS, I have very much appreciated the Priority lane going into Schengen, and I've noticed this is being more rigourously enfornced, nowadays (possibly becuase all eligible pax now have the "SkyPriority" logo on their BPs, which makes it far easier to check).
Ealier today (around 11 am), going from Schengen was a breeze - I could see only around 15 or so pax in total; there was just one 'double' (EU/non-EU) lane open, but I was through in less than 5 mins.

PS: In future, my Dear Cupart, if there's a long queu and I'm stuck in it, I'll look up at the loung and wave (or make some other form of gesticulation).

Is it possible to cross from the non-Schengen zone into the Schengen zone, go through passport control and then exit landside before going through security/baggage check?

No. You'd have to go landside directly from the NonS-area.

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish, but if there are no visa issues, you should be able to arrive on a nonschengen flight, act like you're terminating at AMS and enter the country, going through customs too as well as passport control, and then walk land side to the schengen departures area for a schengen flight. This would avoid doing the nonschengen to schengen passport control and security check airside, but it's hard to imagine that it would save any time. (Maybe this is what smokers do?) I don't think passport control would give you trouble over entering and exiting on the same day if they notice a stamp.

Actually, you wouldn't be 'exiting' when you go from landside (i.e. The Netherlands) to the Schengen airside zone. It's been a while since I've actually done this, but I don't remember there being a formal passport check (if there is, it would be very cursory) - just security screening.
On occasions, it has occurred to me to use this 'back door' route when there's been long queues at the airside transfer point, but I've always ended up braving out the wait.
