Mileage Run Deals - AA/DL DTW-SJC $271 ai

Not a great MR deal, but if you are a hub hostage you take what you can get. Very limited availability on DL ( a few days in late Aug and several in Sep). DTW-ATL-SJC-ATL-DTW is about the best routing I could find with actual availability. delta.com doesn't always seem to show ATL routings (use Orbitz instead).

if you choose flights by schedule rather than price, the ATL flights do show up and price at $271.

Good'ol days when SJC in the low $200 was a bad MR.

UA has matched. $269 with very limited dates. Routing through IAH brings it to 5CPM.

Yes, it's no min stay so same day turns possible. Like I said, check late Aug and Sep for dates (typically Tue, Wed, Sat). 9/15, for example.

Just booked DTW->ATL->SJC->ATL->DTW for $266 ai = 4.9 CPM. 8/24 - 8/25.

Should be an adventure, will be my first mileage run, and will get me to FO on segments. Thanks for the post, LBJ!
