Looks like they've retained the fustiness of the old place in the new design. The shift from undersupply to oversupply in hotel rooms around Tokyo station in the last decade or so has been dramatic.

I confess I had to look up "fustiness," I was utterly convinced it wasn't a word.

As the other existing thread was last replied to Jul 29, 02, 12:56 pm, this is a reopening after extensive refurbishment and the Yen (and prices) are quite different than in 2002, we will not be merging these threads.

Fustiness perfectly describes that revamped interior... yuck!

Must say I do like this revamped thread. The soft opening was a bit touch and go but it's much brighter and cheerier now. Hope the owners of the Tokyo Station Hotel also see some sense and do a similar update ;)
