I was looking at my mileage history and noticed that I received 500miles for <500 mile flights on CA and NH a few months back. Anyone know if UA will do that as well?

Anyone know if UA will do that as well? BankerManUSA Jun 10, 12, 9:02 am Only if you're an elite member on UA do you get the 500-mile minimum flight credit per segment. All others just get credit for actual miles flown. Ex. SAN/LAX = 109 miles if you're general MP member or 500 miles PLUS elite bonus if you're an elite. SirJman Jun 10, 12, 9:08 am Ah, thats what I get from doing 9 hours of homework today. I meant to say, would you also get 500 minimums when flying UA and crediting to OZ? Both CA and NH say you get actual miles flown but I received 500, so I was hoping that even though UA also says actual flown, that they would also credit with 500. BankerManUSA Jun 10, 12, 9:31 am AFAIK, the carrier you fly only determines the CoS/fare/miles flown. Any elite bonus or CoS bonus are determined by the carrier you credit to. So, unless you're crediting miles to UA, you will just get miles flown. SirJman Jun 14, 12, 8:10 pm AFAIK, the carrier you fly only determines the CoS/fare/miles flown. I assumed as much, but seeing as the OZ website said I would receive only miles flown for past CA and NH flights which I did recieve 500 minimums for, I was hoping that maybe UA would also have 500 minimums on OZ. |
