First time poster here, hoping for a bit of help.
I need to book a 13 day car rental, roundtrip from/to MIA Int'l Airport. I'm a longtime Hertz renter. I've never rented from Sixt and I am a little hesitant to try a new company for such a long rental; but I know that Sixt has a very strong reputation in Europe, and the current "Mercedes-Benz C-Class from $39 per Day" promotion caught my eye.
Since this deal seems a little too good to be true, I was hoping someone could answer a few basic questions for me about this rental/ Sixt USA rentals in general, below.
1. What is the cancellation/ modification policy?
2. Is this a pre-paid rate? If I am unhappy midway through the rental, could I cancel and not be charged for the remaining days?
3. If a Mercedes C-class is not available, what other car would I be given?
4. How much does it cost to add an additional driver to the rental (both aged 25+)? With Hertz, I book under my AAA CDP, which allows me to add an additional driver to my reservation for free. Does Sixt offer anything like this?
5. Are there any additional benefits I might receive from Sixt as an AAA member? Amex Platinum Cardholder (e.g. Hertz+Amex Platinum --> 4 hour grace period)?
6. What points can I accrue with this rental (Sixt points, UA miles, etc.)? If there is a choice, which do you recommend I take?
7. Overall, would you recommend Sixt?
