Southwest Rapid Rewards - Targeted June weekend discount, one day only (EXPIRED)

Just received a "24-hour" weekend fare sale email offering 25% off flights on select weekend dates in June. I guess the advance purchase for the highest WGA fares (Fri/Sun are always exhorbitant now) aren't going as well as anticipated.

Unfortunately not of use to me this month but would be nice if this was done on a regular basis (though I gather that might result in adverse effects on advance sales).

Apologies if this has been covered earlier, didn't see anything in the last week.

What emailing is SWA sending out? I thought I was subscribed to all of them and yet I never get these promotions. When I go into RR and under communication preferences, I have checked all of them

In running a sample booking, the price for OAK-BUR dropped from $87-> $68. Not enough to tempt me but probably useful for some.

WN is just too expensive now for me to buy tix that I don't absolutely need, i.e a long weekend getaway. The only fares that will stimulate extra biz from me would be another 30-60-90 or 40-80-120 sale and I'm not holding my breath.

The problem is that it's most likely tied to the name on the RR account...

the problem is that it was valid for purchases made 6/7/12 only, so the offer is dead. It required travel days of 6/15, 6/17, 6/22, or 6/24 only

I redeemed a code and am certain that it was not tied to an RR account.
