It is possible. Give them a call. Either the 1-800 number, or the number for the office in LA would work if you're in the US.

It is possible except for domestic Y segments.

If you are booking on line with the TG site in C or F you are given the option of choosing your seat before you pay. I sometimes do a dummy booking to check on C&F loads.
