Pretty cool if you use those parking services :)
Personally I find them a waste. Park a few days and you have paid the same fees for parking as your intra-europe roundtrip ticket. I quite happily use the NS to/from AMS :)

I quite happily use the NS to/from AMS :)As I don't live in the Netherlands, I don't have a car there either. I'm always driven to the airport and picked up again, very occasionally I take a taxi.
If very late for a B or C departure, I suppose one could always ask to be dropped of in P2. The first 30 minutes is only € 2.--

The official rules:
You may use the footbridge if you:
Are travelling with hand baggage only.
Check in online in advance.
Are departing on a flight from Pier B and C (Schengen countries only).
Park in the reserved Privium parking spaces in P2.
On another page Schiphol airport claims the footbridge can be used by other premium (business class) passengers as well.
It is not clear to me if this is really only for those parking in the overpriced P2 Privium parking, or also for other P2 passengers.
I am also wondering if Privium passengers can enter the Schengen area, then go through the Privium gate to the non-Schengen area. If that is possible, this may be a shortcut to e.g., the D-pier. (E.g., if you fly BA; use pier to Schengen; use Menzies lounge in Schengen; go to D-pier via Privium gate.)
We will have to try to find out!

Would you want to? Is there no alternative in this case? I recently visited the Menzies lounge for the first time and was quite unimpressed...or rather impressed by the lack of food. This is supposed to be the main *A lounge in AMS and only offers a few sweet cookies at breakfast hours?

I haven't been to the Menzies lounge. I recently flew AMS-LHR-TATL via BA and used their lounge. I left home before dawn, arrived in the (pretty nice) BA lounge at 9.30 AM and was told no food at this moment -> too late for breakfast; too early for lunch.
Not a big problem but still a bit disappointing as they apparently do not realise we may have been travelling quite some time to reach the airport.
Ah well .. there are bigger problems in life (like no food at Menzies at all).
I see an advantage in using the Schengen route which is speed/time from car to gate.

The nice thing about the *A lounge is that they allow you to bring your own food. :D

This bridge can also be used by SAS EuroBonus Gold members without business class ticket. Got a mail with exactly this news in their newsletter.

I realy don't see why someone who doesn't park in P2 would want to use it.

I don't think anyone has suggested that it would be used by those not parking in P2. It is an extra service provided for those who meet the specified conditions, and obviously if one intended to make use of that service one would choose to park in P2 rather than elsewhere. It just adds to the whole package that makes Schiphol a pleasure to use.

Quite expensive to add an additional security checkpoint.

Probably offset by the additional parking fees; Privium memberships sold. And if/when the e-gates will be introduced more widely the advantage of Privium membership becomes less so AMS will need to add additional perks.

I had my taxi drop me off underneath the bridge Sunday morning 7 AM-ish for flight to CDG and onwards. There is no real safe place to stop on the side of the road I was on, so probably not advice-able, but there was not much traffic at that time.
I was the only (first?) customer at that time and felt like royalty with 4 security officers in attendance. Allegedly it gets a little busier on Monday morning but makes you wonder how long they will keep this open..

You shouldn't have said that. Privium just announced on Facebook that the bridge will be closed on weekends effective immediately due to low usage.
