Never travelled with air france before... Is it possible to web check in to get good seats if i am not a member with Air france's frequent flyer program?

Also, any tips to make this journey easier... can i get emergency exit row or something on any of these flights?

No, you do not have to be a Flying Blue member to check in online.

If you look at your reservation on the Air France website, you should already be able to select seats for the intercontinental flights.

Only if you pay for it - see the "Seat Plus" option on this page: http://www.airfrance.com/US/en/common/resainfovol/achat/option_payante.htm

It is possible - though somewhat unlikely - that you would be able to select an exit row seat for free as part of the checkin process.

As the OP is not a FB member, the KL website is not relevant. The OP has to check the rules of his own FFP to find out.
