Club Carlson - Is it brand standard to short sheet beds at Country Inns?

We stayed at a Country Inn recently (Freeport, IL) where the sheets and blanket were short sheeted. They came up about mid chest. During the night I wanted to pull them up over my shoulders and could not. In the morning, I found that the bed was made in such a way as to make that impossible.

We were there a second night. I spoke to the GM. She said that this is a brand standard for Country Inn, and that a number of her regular customers do not like it. She gave the maid instructions to make up our bed in the standard way.

What have others experienced? I could understand if the sheets/blankets were folded back in an accordion pleat, but this wasn't the case. They were tucked in so firmly that they couldn't be pulled up. Has this specific hotel misinterpreted what they've been told to be brand standard?

I wish I could give constructive feedback, however at every hotel I pull out every sheet/blanket from the end of the bed so that my feet hang out, I don't like my feet tucked in tight and they are my temp controls.:D

Maybe it should be an option in your loyalty preferences. Tuck or no tuck?

OP's question makes as much sense as Seinfeld's.
